Life Interpretation was established in 2014 by three seasoned professional sign language interpreters who saw a need to align client-specific needs with interpreter competencies e.g., interpreters with medical expertise to customers needing healthcare interpretation. The founders, having a long history of interpreting in Iowa, have a unique understanding of Deaf Iowans, entities needing interpreters, and the skills and competencies of the interpreters across Iowa. We have an extensive database of licensed interpreters statewide that we continually evaluate and add to our staff based on interpretation skills and professionalism. Because we are locally owned and operated, we have a working knowledge of our interpreters and their skills which allows us to provide the best fit for a variety of needs.
